CBHN was organized in 1978 as a collaborative arrangement with the Bay Area Black Consortium for Quality Health Care, the Black Health Leadership Council of Los Angeles, and the San Diego Black Health Associates. We are now comprised of six local chapters and three affiliate; the Bay Area Black Health Consortium for Quality Health Care; the Black Health Leadership Council of Los Angeles; the San Diego Black Health Associates, the Sacramento Black Health Network, and the Inland Empire African American Health Consortium. A recent addition to the North County African American Health Consortium.
